What to expect as a bachelor student?
For the Bachelor programs, the Program Introduction will take place on the 24th of August 2026 to kick-start your academic career. Participation is mandatory for all students.
During the Program Introduction, you will meet your Academic Director and mentor group, which will also be your tutorial group throughout the year. During the first lecture weeks, you will meet your Education Coordinator. The Education Coordinator will provide you with detailed information about your study program. Finally, you will get to know your fellow students better during several fun activities, where you will have to work together!
Registration
Depending on your study, you have to be present at different times. The following times are for registration next monday:
- E&BI, ECO, and EOR between 08:15 and 08:45 at the Auditorium (Cobbenhagen building) on the Tilburg University campus.
- IBA between 09:30 and 10:00 at MKZ 1 (Marga Klompe building) on the Tilburg University campus.
- BK/EBE/FE between 10:15 and 10:45 at the Auditorium (Cobbenhagen building) on the Tilburg University campus.
Check your university email's inbox for more info and your study group! If you have not received an email for us, come anyway at one of the times mentioned above so you can be added to a group.
With MAK, we have prepared a fun and interactive program! Let us take you through the program:
UniQuest
We start the day off with an UniQuest, an interactive quiz based on the television program '1 vs 100'. You will compete against other teams, and try to win prizes for you and your group. Questions relating to Tilburg and student life will catch you up to speed for a good start here in Tilburg. During this part of the program, the Academic Directors will also provide important academic information to help you prepare for your studies.
Lunch
On the field next to the Mensa, there will be a lunch ready for you.
Activity
Get to know your fellow students during this exciting part of the TiSEM Introduction Day! Take part in fun games and activities with your group, if you do, you might earn something useful for later this day!
Student Sounds festival
This year will be our third year hosting a festival to end the Introduction Day! After all the activities during the day, this is the perfect time to chill. Enjoy the music and the sun together with your (new) friends alongside some free drinks!
GROW@TiSEM
During your first year at Tilburg University, you will participate in the GROW@TiSEM program. For more information, click here.
Digital Learning Environment
During the Program Introduction, you will also receive some information about the Digital Learning Environment of Tilburg University (e.g. how to work with Osiris or Canvas). If you need further assistance or would like a recap, MAK has helped the university to make instruction videos about our digital learning environment.
