Many students struggle with a particular course. Therefore, MAK Mentorship System organizes Study support for students enrolled at Tilburg School of Economics and Management. In addition to the regular program, students are given the opportunity to attend extra classes. Groups of approximately 15 students will be formed to receive extra coaching from a tutor, who is an older student who passed the course with an 8 or higher (7.5 or higher if the tutor is an Econometrics student). The tutor has specific knowledge and skills in that particular area. These tutoring classes review assignments from regular classes, extra assignments, and old exams. MAK is the official party allowed by Tilburg University to provide materials which is used by our professors. MAK offers 3 different types of Study Support.
Tutorships: A tutorship consists of 11 lessons of 1.5 hour, in which a tutor will discuss the theory, exercises and old exams. A tutorship costs €60.
Mid-semester tutorships: A mid-semester tutorship is a tutorship which starts halfway the semester. It contains 6 lessons of 1.5 hour. A mid semester tutorship costs €35.
(Resit) Crash Courses: A crash course consists of 2 lessons of 4.5 hour. During a crash course, a tutor will explain all the necessary information of the course. A crash course costs €35.

Important information and rights about MAK Mentorship Tutorships
If you do not have a Dutch bank account, please contact MAK at MAK@uvt.nl for more information regarding your payment options.
MAK Mentorship System organizes tutorships where demand is sufficient and supply and quality of student tutors is ensured. MAK Mentorship System tries to meet supply and demand as effectively as possible, but is in no way obligatory to provide tutorship to everyone demanding a tutorship. Especially when quality of tutorship is negatively affected. MAK Mentorship System reserves the right to cancel a tutorship in case there is a shortage of applications. If you have bought a tutorship that is cancelled, your payment will be refunded as soon as possible. Probably private coaching might be more applicable in this situation. This applies to all groups. If you signed up for a tutorship, it is not possible to cancel the tutorship after you attended your second tutorship class. If so, your payment will not be refunded.
